Flash Fiction #3: The Inter-Galactic Trade

Slowly, my eyes opened before I realized that I was in huge plastic bottle.”Help!!”, I shouted. It was cold and scary but it became terrifying when I saw a 15 feet tall creature moving towards me. I couldn’t move at all, like I was paralyzed. It looked like an alien in a Hollywood movie. It grabbed the bottle and threw me among other bottles. What I saw was nerve-racking, other bottles also had people inside them. “5,000 humans, buy them!!”, a creature told another. “No, humans are useless, they kill each other and they are weak.”, the other creature said. No one was buying us. Suddenly, I went from frightened to heartbroken when I heard what it said. “I want to throw away or kill all these humans but then there will be no difference between them and me, I will leave them at Earth ”, the vendor creature said. “Why are we in plastic bottles?”, I asked. “Your oceans were filled with plastic bottles and junk and I saw sea creatures trapped in it. I thought that is how you creatures can be caught.”
The creature left us on Earth and went back at the speed of light. I looked around and came to a conclusion that we are not supposed to be called a civilization.
